Mrs. Pearl Valentina Poole, a cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully at her home on September 3, 2025, at 3:51 PM. Born on May 4, 1931, in the Whie level section of Mebane, she was the beloved daughter of Mrs. Ann Eliza Pettiford Holt and Mr. Lee Holt. Pearl was a devoted wife to her late husband, Kelly Poole, with whom she shared many wonderful years. Together, they raised three sons: Micheal, Kevin, and Glenn.
Throughout her adult life, Pearl dedicated herself to a career in healthcare, having worked at Oxford Nursing Home, Kings County Hospital, and several other facilities. Her commitment to serving others was evident in the compassion and care she provided to her patients, culminating in her retirement from Presbyterian Home Hawfield. Pearl was known for her warm heart and readiness to lend a helping hand, endearing herself to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Pearl is now reunited in heaven with her beloved siblings—her four sisters, Thelma, Phyllis, Mary, and Garnetta, and her brother, John—as well as her husband Kelly Poole and two of her sons, Micheal and Kevin. The void left by her passing will be deeply felt by those she leaves behind, including her son Glenn Wallace and her ten grandchildren: Aiesha Pearl Mitchell, Asia and Adam Poole, Kevin, Ramel Poole, Kaywan, Saquan, Kaywanna, Kayvon, Darien Valentine, and Stephon Edwards. Additionally, she leaves a host of other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.
On September 11, 2025, a burial service will be held at Kimes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Mebane, North Carolina, at 12:30 PM, with the gathering beginning at 12:30 PM. Pearl Valentina Poole's legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her, and she will be dearly missed. As we reflect on her life, we take comfort in our faith, believing that God’s way is indeed best.
