Preston Donnell Hawkins, 30, transitioned on Sunday, September 1, 2019.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 7 at Wadsworth Congregational Church, 1301 Rock Creek Dairy Road, Whitsett. Burial will be at Shearin Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

Public viewing will be from 4 to 7 pm Friday at Hargett Funeral Service, 905 E. Market St, Greensboro.
